The planets which are favourable and bring fortunes are called the benefic planets. The Jupiter and the Venus are benefic planets with the Jupiter being said to be of greater fortune and the Venus of lesser fortune. The malefic planets depict the energies that are challenging, restrictive and limiting.

The Mars, the Saturn and the Uranus are referred to as the malefic planets. The planets which shower good influence having good aspects with other planets and bad influence having bad aspects with other planets are called as the neutral planets. The Mercury, the Neptune, and the Pluto are referred to as the neutral planets. The detailed influences of each planet are given below.
