Even before the mankind's earliest written records began, the concept of astrology has been there in one form or the other. Its history has a great span of many cultures. The early predictions were mainly of natural disasters and war. Later, the individual horoscopes were also developed for the leaders of the countries.
The beginning of astrology was indeed humble. It was used by early caveman for his survival. It helped him to know exactly when to hunt, when to fish, when to plant and when to celebrate. Most of his activities were based on these predictions using stone circles such as Stone Hendge.
Later, the astrology was developed in Babylon, India, China and Mesoamerica. Even though, the Mesoamerican astrological systems remained separate, the Babylonian astrological ideas have had a major influence on the development of astrology in India and China. This influence is so much that today it is difficult to differentiate between original systems in these areas and later borrowings from Babylon.
